A downloadable dreamscape

CW for bugs and funky reality stuff. Also everything is alive.

Your world is small but comforting. It is a piece from a realm that has been broken off from its source, reshaped by the universe. It’s a calm, quiet, surreal, dreamlike, and tender place. Your world’s light is being held by a colossal entity named the Starbringer, who fell into slumber and paused the world in eternal dawn for… Quite a while. In reaction to this, the small world adapted to the state of dawn. And here you are, deciding to embark on a journey by train to wake the Starbringer up... Out of boredom and curiosity.

This is a setting and collection of supplemental content for Arunika. It’s my lazy attempt at approaching the concept of dreamlike/weirdcore worlds whilst keeping a distance from the horror elements. Instead, embracing the whimsical nature of dreams. I am high on coffee as I speedrun writing down everything for a jam so I hope the coffee high helps me reach the weird vibes.

You can most certainly use the contents of NS:D for stuff beyond Arunika! I encourage it, too. It just so happens that I made this for my game. NS:D is inspired by Daylight Spectrum, a beautiful album by Patricia Taxxon. I also believe that Crocus falls quite in-theme too, also by Patricia. Please support her and give her wonderful work your attention!
